Halloween Fortune is one of my favorite playtech slots because on my first play itself it paid my very good returns. I first played this game on Chips Palace Casino and became its instant fan. Its a 20 pay line , 5 reel slot which offers the true feel of Halloween with symbols inspired from halloween like crows , pumpkin , voodoo material and spooky witches scattered all over the reels.
Whenever you get a winning combination consisting witches , they fly away on their brooms making scary sounds. The pumpkin symbol is the only wild and a typical witch "cooking utensil" is the bonus or scatter symbol. 5 wild symbols (pumpkins) on an active line pays you a whooping 10000X line bet and 5 halloween fortune logos pays you 50X total bet. I have found that this game has good returns for the money invested and with bonus game called"Witches Brew Bonus", it is quite probable to win decent amount. The bonus game is activated when you get the bonus symbol on first and the last reel. You are required to select among different witches that reveals your number of free bonus games or free spins and then you are required to select a conical flask containing various liquids, all different in color which reveal your multiplier.
Recently i won 20 free games with 4X multiplier that paid me total of $5 on a bet as low as $0.01 per line. This feature gets activated quite often and pays decent amount even on low bets. Anyway this is a nice 5 reel 20 payline slot from Playtech. Like all other playtech games the sound and graphic are very good and pleasant to the eye. The main theme is Halloween and I have to say that playtech did a good job on this one. It’s one of the best Halloween theme games I have ever played.I like the three witches’ symbols very much. They are very sexy and the author of these characters has a dirty mind I’m sure.
The wild symbol is a pumpkin ( what else ) and the scater is a Halloween fortune. This game has only one bonus feature which is a bit disappointing but the good thing is that in this bonus you get free spins and multiplier combined. The feature is activated when the bonus pot lands on reel 1 and 5 and is called The witches brew bonus.This bonus consists of two parts. First you choose from the three sexy witches and get the number of free spins. Then you choose an ingredient for the potion and get the number of multipliers. The maximum number of free spins that you can get is 20 and the maximum multiplier is x10. I have to say that I have never won the maximum number of spins or multiplier in this game but I had some descent wins.
The thing that I don’t like with this game is the bet. Minimum bet is 0.20 bet if you want to raise your bet you have to go up to 1. Now that’s a big leap in bets. If this game had a 0.40 or 0.50 bet it would be a really grand game to play. This game helped me in achieving some big cashouts and for that I give it a 9 out of 10.
The quality of graphics of Halloween Fortune will certainly grab your attention. Resembling scenes from horror movies, elements of darkness and scare are used to exemplify the scenarios of Halloween, complete with dark eerie nights, black creatures, a full moon and other whatnots. Right from the beginning, my fingers are already trembling...not from fear of the darkness, nor fear of dark eerie flying creatures, but trembling from itchiness to play the game. Whatever can Halloween Fortune have in store for me, and for all players alike? Payout symbols, from the lowest to highest, are amulet, bottle, skull, black crow and black cat, followed by three beautiful sassy broom-riding witches in colourful costumes of green, red and blue. The blue witch carries a x1000 line bet prize for 5 of them on a payline.
Unlike other Playtech games though, Halloween Fortune provides only 1 type of bonus game, the Witches Brew Bonus game, which is triggered whenever a witches' cauldron appears anywhere on reels 1 and 5 at the same time. This concept is the older concept for triggering free spins in games like A Night Out, Dr Lovemore, Lotto Madness and some others, and follows very similarly as in A Night Out free spins feature selection. 2 scenarios are presented in sequence. In the first scene, you pick one witch from the three shown, each witch carrying a random spin number of either 3, 4, 5, 7, 10, or 20. However, strangely enough, the 20 spins award is not always available in the selection, and the 3 spins award is way way too little for such a relatively new game from Playtech! This, in my opinion, is most unexpected and very undesirable, as every player would want to get the 20 spins award frequently enough, as no other bonus game can be had in Halloween Fortune! So in this instance, the saying "nothing is perfect" certainly applies! In the second scene, you pick one potion bottle out of the six shown, each bottle carrying a win multiplier of either x2, x3, x4, x5, x7 and x10. Therefore, the maximum award possible is 20 spins with a x10 win multiplier, if you're lucky enough to get it!
The word 'Halloween Fortune' is the scatter symbol, which pays x5 total bet for 3 scatters, x10 for 4, and x50 for 5-of-a-kind. Again, x50 total bet is way below the usual Playtech offering, but luckily though, the wild symbol, the pumpkin, is maintained at x10,000 line bet. Having played this game many times so far, I always ended up with a very mixed opinion of the game! In one instance, I managed to get that 20 spins x10 award, which paid me handsomely, even for a $1 total bet per spin. At other times, the 20 spins x10 would not even pay out much at all...and for most of the times, the free spins are a big disappointment! The best I've got so far is the 5 scatters, but only once. The wilds are just too wild to be caught in fours or fives! All in all, Halloween Fortune is a retro-designed slot game. Nice graphics does not equal to nice game. For me, I haven't played it again so far! There are much better choices still out there!
First, the chosen theme is excellent, I guess there is no player who will not admire three young witches riding on the broom with their classic dedicated tools for witchcraft. Second, the total payout here is my opinion higher than average provided by the other old Playtech slots. 2 or 3 symbols on a payline, pay half of total bet (having the minimum value of 20 cents for 20 paylines). And because a combination of 2 symbols is counted on at least two paylines, this means that each win here brings at least as much as the amount of bet invested. Combinations of 4 symbols are not rare and in about 300 spins played here I had for at least 6 times, 5 symbols aligned.
The two or three features of the slot are still classic to Playtech. First, the Wild symbol which is represented here by Halloween pumpkin. Second, the Scatter symbols which pay from 3 upwards very nice (I think that there is a discordance between the actual payout -which is bigger- and value recorded in the paytable). Third the Free Spin round (which here is called the Bonus Round) in which one of the three young and very nice witches, will provide a total from 3 to 20 Free Spins with a multiplier chosen again (by selecting a certain witchcraft tool) between 3x and 10x. On the average 10 Free Spins with a 5x multiplier adds some 7-10 Euro to the total wins. At least for the duration of the game here, I always had a plus in the total balance of 7-12 Euro and as I said I have played over 300 spins.
The slot is really excellent and I promise that in the future all the bonuses offered by Playtech casinos I will play them here (in the past I was were playing at the Great Blue or X- Men).
