Alien Robots is an uncomplicated, classic slot although the Net Ent production house has given it some twists which gives it a taste of modern slot. The slot has 30+243 ways of win with the bet starting at $0.60. I do feel that the slot has few idle spins that is the spins without any wining combination.

The game gets a bit boring as it does not has any bonus game, it just has the free spin feature. The graphics and the soundtrack of the slot is very mediocre one.

The free spin feature is triggered when three or more scatter appear on the reels. 10 free spins are awarded when three scatter symbols appear on the reels and the maximum of 50 free spins when 5 scatter symbols appear. In the free spin feature the wild symbols appearing on the reels trigger the expanded sticky wild feature. It is actually the combination of sticky and expanding wilds. In this wild appearing on the reels expand on that particular entire reel and are held in position when the all the other reels re-spin. It took long to trigger the free spin feature but I finally did after 150 spins. I got three scatter symbols on the reels and I was awarded with 10 free spins. I made 3215 coins when I was betting at 60 coins per spin at a coin value of 0.01. The expanded sticky wild feature is just awesome and it brings huge wins. I made around 250 spins and the best win apart from the free spin feature was of 1260 coins that is 20 times the bet.

Overall the slot is mediocre in returns but the free spin feature is very productive due to the expanded sticky wild feature. I would rate the slot 7/10.

Second mode is 30 + 243 lines, and in this mode min bet is 0.60, but you start get payouts from both paytables - 243 lines and 30 lines. In this game also i can see wilds, on reels 2 3 4. Payouts on this slot can be big for best paying pictures, but most of payouts of course not nice, because of 243 lines. In 30 lines all payouts balanced and good. To trigger free spins players need to get at least 3 UFO which is scatters, 3 UFo award 10 free spin, 4 UFo award 20, and 5 UFO award 50 free spins. In free spins wilds on middle reels expand and there comes respin, like in starburst slot. 3 stacked wild in free spin can pay more than 1000 bet size, i saw screenshot from other guy once.

Alien Robots would be my first review for the NetEnt software. I wonder what makes these robots "alien"? Did they come from another planet? Were they built by aliens? Were they alienated from other races? The answer remains a mystery but what I can tell you is this wonderful video slot Alien Robots. It features a choice of 30 paylines or way wins of 243 ways. This is both a matter of choice and preference while summing up what's good for the players. I sometimes find these choices to be harder because of the paytable. If I go for 30 paylines, the prizes of each symbol won in the game are greater than if I would hit them under the 243 ways.

For the highest symbol being the red Alien robot it pays 10000 if using 30 paylines, should I use the 243 ways it would only be 1500. Tough call for a slot. In my opinion what I would go for is the 243 ways for it is much "easier" to hit symbols than to see them land on a payline that's not active. I've seen that many times to continue hating it as much as any player would! Of course if I choose this option I would have my bets increased to $0.60 on just one coin under the 243 ways! That's twice the cost of 30 paylines! Again the important choice is through the player. I don’t know why but every time I’ve played with Alien Robots it reminded me of old Nintendo games with its very indigenous graphics that I always found ugly. Maybe that was exactly what NetEnt wanted to represent but it doesn’t change my point of view and still don’t consider it attractive.The one and only thing that aroused my interests here was the unique ‘30+243’ feature. Basically, it works as if the player would use a 30-payline and a 243 ways-to-win type slot machines at the same time. The bets and payouts also act as if they were two different games. Obviously, using these two modes simultaneously mean the stakes have to be doubled, but in return getting more multi-winning combinations are possible and it’s great the players can decide how they want to play this game, selecting the best way to their styles. The highest rewarding symbol is ‘Red Robot’ and has the ability to pay out x10000 or x1500 of line bet depending on which method had the completed win (the payout differences apply for all other figures’ winning combos and according to the sense always the bet line wins pay better over the bet way wins).
